Samantha and Wyatt chose The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois, for its incredible natural setting, and it’s easy to see why. Surrounded by lush gardens, wildflower meadows, and towering trees, their wedding felt connected to the landscape around them.

I focused on telling the story of their ceremony as it unfolded, capturing the atmosphere and all the little moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Afterward, we explored the arboretum’s beautiful grounds for relaxed portraits among the greenery and summer wildflowers. I photographed their day using a blend of vintage 35mm film and digital photography, combining natural documentary storytelling with a little cinematic romance.

As a Michigan-based film wedding photographer serving Chicago and Northern Illinois, I love weddings where the experience matters just as much as the photographs. Samantha and Wyatt’s celebration was a beautiful reminder of why I do what I do.
